A surgical quote arrives with no context whatsoever. There is no sticker price to check it against, no invoice history, no comparable. You are handed a five-figure number by someone you have no reason to distrust, and you have no way to know whether it is reasonable. That is the problem this site exists to solve, and only that.

What we do

We publish typical 2026 price ranges for the procedures Americans most often shop around for, and we let you plot your own quote against them. The calculator runs in your browser. It asks for nothing, stores nothing, and shows you the full result before any form appears anywhere on the page.

Where a US transparent-pricing surgical facility publishes a complete cash price for the same procedure, we show that too, with the same weight as everything else. Those facilities are a real option and on mid-sized procedures they frequently beat travelling abroad once flights and time off are counted. We would rather tell you that than lose your trust on the one occasion it matters.

What we don't do

We don't quote. Nothing on this site is an offer of treatment or a price you can hold anyone to. We don't publish a number we can't source, we don't invent patient stories, and we don't name surgeons or clinics we have no relationship with. When a figure comes from an older source — Colombia's first-in-the-Western-Hemisphere, 22nd-globally health system ranking comes from the WHO's 2000 report — we say so, and we pair it with something current and verifiable rather than letting it stand alone.

We are not a clinic, not an insurer, and not anyone's doctor. Verify a facility's current accreditation and a surgeon's ReTHUS registration yourself before you book anything, anywhere.

Who's behind it

getmedicalquotes is run by Scout Theory LLC, which operates a network of medical travel information sites anchored at colombiamedical.co. If you use the form and go on to have treatment with a provider we introduce you to, that provider may pay us a referral fee. You are never charged, and the fee is never added to your quote. That is the entire business model and we put it on the homepage rather than in the footer.
